Rider Testimonial:

“I am Honored and Proud to be Sponsored by Schleese Saddle Fit for Life! I have been waiting for years to get a brand new Schleese. I have had two used Schleese saddles and have ridden in several models, as my students have purchased them. I have the Pro Light Plus and I LOVE IT, as well as my young horse LOVES IT. In Kantisha CBF’s first CDS recognized show, second show total, she won the High Score of the day with a 74.483%. Is it the saddle, training, or is she born to win? All I know is this saddle really helps the horse to use her natural movement without any impediment. The saddle helps me to have a position that does not impede my horse, plus is so very easy to ride in. This saddle is one-of-a-kind, as it has Glamour options designed by me with a little bit of help from my Saddle Reps, Deb and Matt! I LOVE how it turned out and have had many lookers checking out the beauty of this saddle. Again, thanks to all who helped in getting this DREAM saddle made. My horse and I am so LUCKY to have such wonderful support.”

Where is Jochen?
July was a fairly quiet month for Jochen, with only a trip to see our Florida clients during the last week and a half. He will take part in his sixth ‘Online Horse College’ podcast interview with Glenys Cox from Australia on July 24.
August will see a little more action, with our German Managing Director and Jochen’s sister Angelika Schleese joining us at the beginning of the month for strategy meetings. Then PBS will be visiting us to film our educational segment before Jochen leaves for a short New England trip. Mid-month sees him as a guest presenter at the ISES (International Society of Equitation Sciences) conference held at the University of Guelph this year (19-21) (They really need to change their acronym!!) with the last week of August spent at head office and in the surrounding area continuing to film his educational video shorts for our own channel and getting ready for our annual S4L one week intensive in September.
August Birthdays
This month we are wishing Julia D(12th) and Linda (31st) a very happy birthday!

Being a western rider for 50 years I've ridden and owned 7 saddles that I thought fit me and my Arabians, Quarter Horses, and Tennessee Walkers. Saddle fit was frustrating as each horse had different conformation, and my body changed as I aged leading to a less than optimal ride. I was constantly frustrated with these saddles being generic cookie cutter designs assuming that any saddle would fit and provide that optimal ride. They were pretty on the outside but a disappointment in terms of how they fit me and my horses. Becoming exposed to biomechanics and correctness of movement working with various trainers, and attending clinics the Schleese Saddlery Devin western saddle was mentioned as the answer to my prayers for a saddle designed with rider and horse in mind. It seemed to good to be true. I saw your presentation Memorial weekend at the Mane Event at Westworld and got to sit in the Devin, see how comfortable and adjustable it was...and decided to purchase one, despite the price. 3 months later my stunning saddle arrived, was fitted to both my horses after measurements were taken of their withers and backs I enjoyed my first ride. I could tell with each successive ride my horse moved more correctly, rounding his back, relaxing into his best cadence of gait. It felt like riding on a cloud. It is obvious that no detail has been overlooked after 6 years of development before the Devin was released. I recommend without reservation this saddle and the customer service provided by Schleese Saddlery.
