Horses came into Héloïse’s life at a very young age; she was only four years old. She grew up taking western riding lessons and eventually became the proud owner of her first mare, Maggie, during her teenage years. She is very grateful to still share her life with Maggie after all these years.

Héloïse always knew that horses would be a lifelong part of her journey. After high school, she completed a degree in equine science with a specialization in English riding at her local community college. She then worked for several years as both an English and Western riding instructor while attending university.

Her passion for equine behaviour and welfare inspired her to pursue further education, including an online certificate in Equine Welfare and a Master’s degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training. Along the way, she also developed a strong interest in saddle fitting, which led her to earn her CEE certification from SaddleFit 4 Life.

All of this education and experience stems from a clear goal: to help horses and their owners better understand each other and build positive, lasting relationships. Her work as a Certified Saddle Ergonomist reflects these values and allows her to live out this mission every day. She also has a special interest in behavioural challenges, rescue horses, and positive reinforcement with equines; areas she continues to explore through her work as an equine behaviour consultant in her local community.

If you enjoy online learning, you might have the chance to also meet her in one of the many courses she takes — usually focused on animal behaviour and welfare!
