Elizabeth Wilson’s parents bought the “horse crazy” young girl her first horse to “keep her out of trouble.” This first horse led her on a lifetime journey of learning about and caring for horses. She began teaching riding at a Girl Scout Ranch during the summers between her college years, participated in countless lessons and clinics, participated in competitions in Western events, Dressage and Combined Training shows, owned and continues to operate a boarding and lesson facility, became an Equine Sports Massage Therapist through Equissage®, studied barefoot trimming, became a Masterson Method® Certified Practitioner, operates a Miniature Horse Outreach Program through Pet Partners®, became a PATH CTRI and then became a Certified Equine Ergonomist through Saddlefit 4 Life®. Her life with horses was balanced by her education at St. Olaf College with a B.A. degree in music education and an M.A. degree in education at the University of Minnesota – Duluth. This education gave her the privilege of spending many years as a choral director working with middle and high school students, college students and helping to direct and produce many musicals in the schools and in her community. Elizabeth is continually updating her education to help create a more harmonious and healthy relationship between horses and people.
