Hi, my name is Dominique Tardin. I am a Swiss South African based in Cape Town, RSA. Since the age of 9 horses have been my life and although I am a psychology student and have worked in other corporate fields, I always came back to horses. I am managing a beautiful stable yard called Landskroon Equestrian Centre where we have some of the best facilities and team imaginable. It is the dream! Currently I am riding at FEI small tour and I have produced numerous horses up from Young Horse to Grand Prix. I was very lucky to work and ride in America and all over Europe learning from some of the worlds best. A main focus and passion of mine is having a high performance athlete that is happy. That means they need to be horses, be healthy, be sound and very importantly- have a saddle that fits to perform pain free. I decided to start the SaddleFit4Life Certified Equine Ergonomist course (CEE), which was life changing. It complimented my beliefs and taught me how little we know as professionals and how much there is to learn! Currently I am riding in a VCFS MonoFlap Evolution- Hybrid panel, and I have never been so comfortable in a saddle with no negative physical effects on myself, and both my vet and physio are amazed at the improvement in all my rides top line and the non existent pain that’s usually related to poor saddle fit. The horses are now able to do their best and without being in pain. That is all I ever wanted for them.
