With over two decades of experience with horses across various disciplines like barrel racing, showing (both English and Western), dressage, equitation, eventing, and trail riding, she has a wealth of knowledge to share. Recently, her focus has shifted primarily to dressage and liberty work, both on the ground and under saddle. Alisha has coached at the local pony club and has served as a judge at agricultural shows, finding immense joy in supporting her local equine community. Whether it’s stewarding, judging, or pencilling, she enjoys these roles just as much as competing. Alisha is dedicated to bringing essential skills to her area, enhancing the exceptional equine sports community.

Having once faced a complete loss of confidence in her abilities as a horse owner and rider, Alisha found herself trapped in a cycle of painful rides, which left her feeling bewildered in her quest for solutions to improve her horse’s comfort. The turning point came when she discovered saddle fitting concepts from SaddleFit4Life, inspired by Jochen’s book “Suffering in Silence.” This coincided beautifully with the discovery of her heart horse, captured in a cherished photo. This serendipitous timing allowed her to achieve riding feats she once thought impossible and to forge a bond with her horse that goes beyond words. The mutual trust they share stems from her commitment to ensuring his well-being. As they continue their riding journey together, Alisha’s fascination with biomechanics and ergonomics has only deepened, leading her to her current affiliation with Schleese Saddles.
