I started riding in dressage nearly 15 years ago with my Standardbred who is now 20. We competed at the regional and provincial level in Quebec and Ontario, Canada. We did up to second level and schooled a few movements of third level. We competed five times at the Quebec Equestrian Games at the different levels. My second horse is a 10 year old Warmblood which we have owned since he was 7 months old. He was sadly diagnosed with severe kissing spine in 2018 at the age of 6 but went through the surgery with success. In 2017 I also acquired my third horse, a 7 month old Hanoverian by Sir Wanabi out of Dream Date (Don Davidoff). I am happy with his current progress at the age of 5 and can’t wait to see what the future bring us. The bond I have with each one of my horses is incredibly important to me as it can tell me so much about their day to day personality and well-being.
I got to perform in the training scale at the Dressage Masters (2017 edition). I also got to be a part of Stephen Clarke famous Build a Better Dressage Horse at the end of 2017. In 2018 I got the opportunity to take a few lessons while on vacation in Portugal which improved a lot my riding skills. Everyone and every situation, good or bad, since the beginning has helped me become the rider I am today. With every opportunity comes challenges and benefits. After 8 years of having our own stable we recently purchased a bigger place and we are currently running a boarding stable offering a different approach on the well-being of the horse in our area with features such as stable comfort mats, a solarium and much more.
My journey with Schleese Saddlery started off with my horse being diagnosed with severe kissing spine 4 years ago. While he was still rehabbing, I began to search for the best for my horses; from saddle fitting to training to health care professionals and different holistic methods. After searching and listening to different webinars, Schleese Saddlery was definitely my go to. I bought my first Schleese in 2020 and I acquired my second one a few months after. I’ve never been so comfortable in a saddle and so are my horses. I can feel every little change in my horses’ bodies and mine during training. The freedom they give you and your horse is magical. Their adjustability is exceptional and it allows them to mature correctly into training and perform with their very own saddle as it is properly adjusted for them at least twice a year. I am very excited to order my third one for my young horse and again, see all the changes occur.
Thank you Schleese Saddlery, where customer service, horses’ well-being and riders’ posture is their priority!
